Fishing report 21 - 26 JULY 2018

Week number six of the season 2018in the Belousiha River Lodge. This week we are welcomed 7 guests Barrett, Eric, Nick and Richard from USA, Canadian Kip, Italian Matteo and English Steve. With us also was Berndt who keep fishing since previous week.

Looks like the weather was not going to change. Except the last day we did not feel less than 15 degrees in the tundra even at night. Wind blew south directions mostly. Temperature of the water: Belousiha 19-22, Voronya 17-19. Belousiha dropped very fast. Nobody remember this river so low during last ten years. Level of the Voronya is low.

According to the weather we made our fishing schedule flexible trying to find more cloudy and chilly hours. First four days we fished morning and late evening with the brake for nap. Two following days were by schedule.

We were fishing on the river Voronya only. First three days were quite good for fishing, we caught 26 fish. Most of them on the Monkey fly. Losses also around 20. It is worth to remark that fish were very active with bombers and hitch flies. For the river Voronya it is quite interesting notice.

During Tuesday and Wednesday were caught just 11 fish. Salmon were not aggressive with the flies and not often rose. More interested orange color flies.

On the last day was real thunderstorm with the lightning heating everything around the best pools of Voronya. Because we did not fish more than two hours. We caught only one fish this day.

Week was nice and interesting. Everybody caught the salmon in the beginning of the week. For four anglers it were first atlantics. There were also couple of big disappointments after lost really monsters, but anyway few salmon over 9 kilos were caught.

Caught: 38 Atlantic salmon

Hooked but not landed: 29 Atlantic salmon
